Summary
The
FAS270c Entry SAN Bundles, originally available in the November 2003 version of
Quoter, have been revised and improved. These improvements include:
· FAS270c
Entry SAN Bundle platforms have been reduced in price by 5-10%
· The
Windows Attach Kit promotion provides a promotional offer of 2x Windows Dual
Attach Kits with FAS270c Entry SAN Bundles at no extra charge
· New
Snap Bundle promotion provide a promotional price for SnapRestore
and SnapManager products when SnapManager
are configured with FAS270c Entry SAN Bundles
· New
SupportEdge pricing lowers FAS270c Entry SAN Bundle
service cost.
· In
total, when using the revised Entry SAN Bundles, Windows Attach Kit and Snap
Bundle Promotions, and SupportEdge pricing, the full
solution price for an Exchange, SQL Server, or Notes configuration is reduced
by over 30%
· The
Windows Attach Kit promotion and Snap Bundle promotion are available through
FAS270c
Entry SAN Bundles
FAS270c
Entry SAN Bundles are pre-packaged, optimally priced, Fibre
Channel SAN solutions. Two pre-packaged bundles are available and easily
expandable via Quoter. Each bundle includes:

Entry SAN Bundles are fully upgradeable in support of all FAS270c features and
options to provide a truly unified, appliance-based storage platform for remote
office, departmental, and small business
environments. FAS270c Entry SAN Bundles
support heterogeneous FC SAN environments including Windows, Solaris, AIX and
HP-UX hosts (Linux w/ release of Linux attach kit v. 2.0 targeted for H2 2004
timeframe). In addition, FAS270c are
eligible for the bundled iSCSI and DFM Lite promotions, providing these value-add
options at no extra charge.

Windows
Snap Bundle Promotion
Windows
Snap Bundles provide aggressive pricing on key value added software options for
the Windows application market. With
FAS270c Entry SAN Bundles, special pricing is provided on SnapRestore
and SnapManager Exchange, SQL Server, and Notes
products.
Brocade
Value Line VL2 Switches
The
FAS270c Entry SAN Bundles are configured with Brocade Value Line VL2 switches,
intended to address low end FC SAN market requirements. In particular, these
switches are price and feature optimized for low end FC SAN deployments. In comparison to the current Brocade's
· configurable
only in a two switch fabric (ie, fabric cannot be
extended beyond a two switch fabric or integrated into an existing SAN fabric)
· supported
Fabric Services software: Web Tools and Advanced Zoning
· each
switch includes one (1) power supply/fan
Brocade
Value Line switches are fully field upgradeable to
full fabric-capable
